Nikon acts quickly to reverse firmware gaffe

It's only been a week, but Nikon has already released new firmware for its D3 digital camera to address problems caused by a buggy version of the update introduced last week. According to Nikon, the new download "will overwrite the existing version, and correct the issues found with the 1.10 version" posted on April 15. The new firmware can be installed from either Windows or Macintosh computers. To take full advantage of the new firmware, Nikon recommends using the latest versions of its software for the camera. For ViewNX that's version 1.0.4, or later, and for Capture NX, that's release 1.3.3, or later.
