Canon 5D succesor feeds rumor mills

Was it a slip or just slop? That's what Canon watchers are asking themselves today after the alleged specs for the spectral EOS 5D Mark II appeared on one of the camera maker's Web sites in Germany. According to Photography Bay, information about the camera appeared on the site for a short time and then was taken down. Both PB and engadget express skepticism about the item and the photo accompanying it. Since the original EOS 5D was first unveiled in August 2005, Canonistas believe it's about time a new model should be introduced and they're betting that if they keep making premature announcements often enough, they can't help but strike pay dirt one of these days.
